All aboard the haunted trolley, where history rides shotgun, and the dead don’t need a ticket! Your guide for this eerie expedition is none other than Wanda the Wandering Spirit, Pensacola’s most charming and slightly nosy ghost. Unlike that subway spook from Ghost who liked to scream at Patrick Swayze, Wanda prefers sarcasm, unsolicited opinions, and dropping terrifying Pensacola history like it’s hot.

WELCOME TO PENSACOLA, WHERE HISTORY REFUSES TO STAY BURIED
Pensacola, Florida—a city so old it makes your grandmother’s attic look modern. Founded in 1559, this town has survived pirates, hurricanes, yellow fever, duels, shipwrecks, and more bad decisions than an 18th-century sailor with shore leave. Ghosts? Oh, we have plenty. Some are friendly, some are… less so, and a few are just here to mess with your GPS.
Wanda is here to lead you through the shadowy streets, cursed cemeteries, and unsettling landmarks of the City of Five Flags, all while questioning your life choices for coming along.

THE TROLLEY OF TERROR (AKA YOUR MOBILE HAUNTING UNIT)
Unlike those brave (or foolish) souls who go ghost hunting on foot, you get the luxury of sitting in a trolley that is most definitely not cursed. Probably. As we roll through downtown Pensacola, keep your eyes peeled for ghostly hitchhikers, shadowy figures in windows, and, of course, spirits who love pranking tourists.
🚨 "Once, a woman on this tour waved at a man in a window. He waved back. Then he faded into nothing. She slept with the lights on for a week." – Tour Guide Carl, who has personally witnessed too much.

GHOSTLY STOPS ALONG THE WAY
👻 THE TW FITCH HOUSE – WHERE EVEN THE WALLS HAVE NIGHTMARES Featured in Newsweek and Second Sight Paranormal TV, this house is so haunted it’s basically a spectral timeshare. Residents have reported shadow figures, disembodied whispers, and furniture that moves by itself (no, not the IKEA kind). And let’s not forget the ghost cat—because nothing says “paranormal terror” like being haunted by a judgmental feline.
🏛 THE OLD COURTHOUSE – TED BUNDY’S UNFORTUNATE LAYOVER Pensacola had the honor of arresting America’s most infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy, after he failed to drive inconspicuously. (Turns out, even murderers struggle with traffic laws.) His dark energy lingers, but he’s not the only spectral presence. Visitors report phantom footsteps, eerie voices in empty halls, and a ghostly judge still issuing verdicts from beyond the grave.
🎭 THE SAENGER THEATRE – WHERE THE SHOW NEVER ENDS Pensacola’s most famous theatre has more than Broadway productions—it has phantom performers, mischievous stagehands, and an audience that refuses to leave. Seats fold down on their own, props vanish, and whispers echo backstage. So if you hear applause from an empty balcony, congratulations—you just got a ghostly standing ovation.
🪦 ST. JOHN’S CEMETERY – WHERE THE DEAD ARE MORE TALKATIVE THAN YOUR NEIGHBOR This historic cemetery is home to a ghostly Civil War soldier, a woman in white who enjoys disappearing acts, and whispering spirits who love an audience. Some visitors swear that bringing a peanut (yes, a peanut) can lead to spectral communication. Others say it just attracts squirrels with supernatural levels of persistence.
HAUNTED HIGHWAYS – BECAUSE EVEN THE ROADS HAVE GHOSTS As the trolley bumps along, be on the lookout for Pensacola’s most haunted streets:
🚗 Romana Street – Once a thriving Red Light District, now home to the restless spirits of women who never got their final payday.
🚗 Garden Street – Where ghostly horses have been spotted galloping, despite there being no actual horses in Pensacola.
🚗 Government Street – A site of historic duels, some of which are apparently still being fought by particularly stubborn spirits.

WANDA KNOWS ALL – BUT WON’T TELL YOU HOW SHE DIED (YET)
As we near the end of our journey, you may wonder: how did Wanda become a wandering ghost in the first place? Was she a pirate’s unfortunate captive? A gambler who lost one bet too many? A star-crossed lover left waiting at the docks? She’s not saying.
What she will tell you is that Pensacola’s ghosts are real, and they’re watching. So if you feel an invisible tap on your shoulder… well, maybe it’s Wanda. Maybe it’s not.
